"Painted grey" A Geir original played by Optimission

A couple of weeks ago Optimission had a long rehearsal weekend.

We rehearsed 5 songs. 3 of them were old originals that I wrote some years ago.

This is one of them. It's recorded live during a (mostly sober) session where we decided to record all the songs we had live, and no stopping. No take backs.

It turned into a jam.

Messy but we enjoyed it;D

The recording is done on my br800 and it's 4 mono tracks. Bass. Drums. Guitar. Vocal.
Did some post fx like amp sim and reverb.

I'm sure I'd have remembered this:

And that pause when you finished, followed by the "we did it!" cheering.

Wow, I'd pay money to see you live! Great performance all round, you guys really gel together, it's both loose and tight playing at the same time if you know what I mean. Great sounds, great playing and a really great groove going on (love the bass work!). Sounds pretty good for a simple mono recording as well, nicely done to really capture that live feel.

That's some serious jammin! Gave me some real Pink Floyd vibes, your guitar playing really is no joke! Very cool song as well, I love how you guys extend out for a bit but always come back to the song. Totally in sync with one another, brilliant.
