Well two things I know I can not play or sing like Willie But have always been a huge fan of his song writing. He was kind enough to let me cover this song which I took great liberties with and gave it my spin. I hope I did not screw it up too much Thanks Willie

Nice job!  The easy, laid-back folk rock style makes it very comfortable to listen to. Seems like 12-strings are showing up a lot again these days, and I like that. The smooth job with the harmonies adds a tasteful bit of extra flavor.  I'll bet that Willie is going to like this a lot!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

A very enjoyable listen. Kind of a bob seger / eagles mashup. A fine job and fitting tribute

A good cover of Willie's song, Tim! All your vocals are spot on and the acoustic strumming does bring to mind The Eagles. The harmonica is a nice touch. Take a bow!

Lovely job Tim, that bunch of vocals works really well and sounds great. Although there's a fair bit of "jangle" you've definitely given this your own style. I too get a kind of country-folk feel and it really suits the lyrics. Really great work, I am sure Willie will like this.

Excellent Tim
It's true Willie has an exceptional voice...but yours has a tone and a sensitivity that is recognizable and you are getting better and better at recording and dubbing voices
bravo my friend

PS I'm going to listen to the original version of Willie, that's the goal, right? ;)
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Oh well ........

Nice job Tim, love the vocals and harmonies. To be honest I think I like your version a lot better, I was a bit down when I wrote it and definitely intoxicated when I recorded it. Fabulous work Tim.    Willie
