In a moment of extreme optimism, I've attempted a version of The Police's Can't Stand Losing You

All recorded on the Boss BR-600, using a Westone Concorde I bass, a Danelectro 56 Pro, a Washburn HB35 and a microphone of no fixed abode.

Although I can't match the skill, artistry & vocal range of the original, I've tried to make up for it with sheer enthusiam.

... Enjoy!! ...

Great job gj, really great energy.  Your vocals are pretty darn tight sounding, damn what a great job with the vocals, especially that end part!!!!!.  Very good job, I do enjoy this, big time.  Greast production/mixing/mastedring too!!!!  Very Pro job.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Man, really well done! As has been said, not just your enthusiasm, but terrific playing and singing as well. Very tight and well balanced. Good work!
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Get out of here, this is frickin' awesome!! Way to keep all the instruments isolated!! Lots of fantastic guitar work as well. And the vox work is kick ass!!

The 600 is appears to be working well for you - with my MBR (Which I love so don't get me wrong), I would have been in tears before I could finish something like this...

Not to sound like a stalker, but I've already listened to this 3 times!!

Very big, very big!

See you around,

You have done a great job!!  I like the way you mixed everything.  I still have trouble with that.   The vocals are just perfect. All around great job!!!

Wow! This is fantastic. Great performance and production. Great everything. I wouldn't attempt this one in a million years, but you've totally nailed it. I like the nasty bite of the guitars - they really work well with this VERY spiteful song!

Thanks all above for the kind comments. I'm glad you've all enjoyed my humble rendition.

It's a song I recorded a little while ago, but seeing as I'm new to the forum, I thought I'd share it around.
I quickly realised, that the only way I could get through this one, was to do my own version, but I think it turned out rather well.
I went for a simple:
  • Drums, Bass & Lead Vocals: All down the middle
  • Guitar 1: Offset to left (somewhere around 25)
  • Guitar 2: Offset to right (somewhere around 25)
  • Harmony Vocal 1:Panned hard left (50)
  • Harmony Vocal 2:Panned hard right (50)

oldrottenhead I've got an instrumental version, if you'd really like a copy. I just need to find a way of getting it to you, as it doesn't seem possible to upload an mp3 in reply anymore. I'll pm you when I come up with an answer.

Cheers everyone ...
I love you all :D ;D
