Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

A great song with strong performances. There's a heavy 70's vibe to the song and the overall sound is warm. The mix is balanced, great vocals and the guitar solo sounds great. The only part of the mix that caught my ear was the rhythm guitar. It sounds a bit too "metallic" and "brittle" compared to the rest of the song. This is most noticeable at the guitar solo section. The way it's buried way down makes it work in the context of the song, but perhaps that's one area that could be improved if you were to nitpick the production. The piano takes the center stage of the song and the mix like i think it should. It's works great and sounds great. Without knowing the base piano sound it's hard to know whether it could be brought even more upfront with a touch of EQ.

All in all i like this song a lot and all the comments about the mix were done only because you asked to :) It's easy to ruin a mix and this warm sound the mix has works nicely for the song.
A great arrangement too!

I don't think it's corny at all.  Thanks for sharing this nice ballad.

!

Thanks Zoltan I've been working on eq and making things " sit" better in the mix lately

Is it the acoustic guitar you're referring to? There is also a gritty electric rhythm deep in the mix in that section

I agree that the piano sounds a little dark

Really enjoyed that Ron, it's like a big warm embrace, so very fitting for the woman in your life. I am sure you made her very happy with this. Cool song, some really cool touches on the guitar, you oughta be proud of this one.

A beautiful song with a truly wonderful performance. Love the keys and organ (I did get a Black Crowes vibe) and the vocal really makes it. Superb stuff.

Well crafted tune. I imagine you scored a few points with this. I'm glad you mentioned it was for your fiancée. It gives it the context a sentiment like this deserves. I love the unexpected placement of a certain chord.
