Well this might not be for everyone-probably because i wrote it for my fiancee So yah its romantic and corny. But I have a much respect for her. She's been there for me many years now. Most recently, nursed me back to health from COVID, encouraged me in my retirement. These things and more make me appreciate her all the more.
I thought it sounds a little like Travis Tritt in the melody and a little like Black Crowes in the instrumentation. Not sure if it's Mimic Fest material.

Anyway, Ive tried some different mixing things, Mostly EQ stuff.

Mixing feedback greatly appreciated (or any)

Thanks for listening-
We like listening to the rain
And talk about life, and how
I can't think about a minute, of a life without you in it
Rain drops glistening    We sure like listening
We like listening to the rain

We can ride out here  the storm
Keep us safe keep us happy Keep us. warm
Telling jokes and silly songs, is right where I belong
Is just as exciting       even more inviting.        Just as exciting as the storm

With the storm clouds rolling in . Keeps us wondering. Will it keep on thundering
Will this shower ever end
sunlight starts creeping in. And it drys up again.
Can we stay here till the end
You are not alone my friend

Moments like this never get old. And when the world around us is sterile and cold
We can think back to a time.
We left our troubles far behind   and just sat back listening

Oh How we like listening
We like listening           To the rain.
To  the rain.

All the workings of a great power ballad. Excellent vocals, ripping melodic solo, and really fitting and touching lyrics. The production is brilliant here, so much warmth with great balancing between the piano and organ. You clear took a lot of care into this and it really shows. Beautiful track

This is a very fine love ballad. The piano and organ work so well together in this song. Excellent vocals and words. The lead break is done perfectly and so fitting for this style. The mix and production work for me, great work Guitarron!

Nice job with the piano and organ and arranging them to work together so well.  And they make a perfect landscape to back up that wonderful guitar break!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

StephenM

this is absolutely beautiful...has alot of elements that I love...great vocals...organ sounds...and some tasty southern style lead guitar work (perhaps hints at British as well)....piano...
I love the rain too...listening to it... I actually record it sometimes on my zoom...especially with thunder too.

Just brilliant! Agree with the "ballad from the 70's"-comparison. Excellent job with vocals and piano. The keyboard tone is perfect! Enjoyable listening.

Oh yeah, agree with everyone here, what a beautiful song. Great playing , great lyrics and vocals and the music is so good. It's a nice touch you wrote it for your fiancée too. She must have been chuffed.
