For my 13000th post I'd like to pay tribute to one of my heroes.

Dave, you've been a pillar of this dusty old part of the web. I really hope we can meet one day.

This is a wonderful song you wrote long time ago. And it is a great one. I hope I've done it somewhat justice.

Two guitars. One mandolin.  One melodica. And a voice.......

Cheers

Very rich layering of acoustic strings. Gives me mandolin GAS. A very nice tribute to a talented guy. Fantastic .

Love it!  Even hearing it for the first time it already seems like an ageless classic.  Love the word play in the lyrics and the playing and singing is completely entertaining.  And now I've got G.A.S. for a Melodica (this should be easy to fix...)

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

A great cover of BB's excellent song. The melodica and mandolin sound so fitting for the song. Great vocals and a good choice for your 13k post!
