I was inspired to write this song was after watching one of my favourite 1980's Horror B-Movies again this year , called "C.H.U.D' Anyone else remember it?

It was about radioactive chemicals that were dumped in the new york sewers by the government, and it turned all the tramps and homeless people who lived down there into canibalistic humanoid underground dwellers..or "C.H.U.D'S" If you get a chance i recommend watching it..just for a laugh haha!

Anyway, hope you enjoy it. It's not to be taken seriously just a bit fun. :-)
 Thanks. Darren and Keith

C.H.U.D

cannibalistic, humanoid, underground dwellers
you better watch out coz they may be,
hiding in your cellars
They 'aint fussy who they eat, the ladies or the fellas
So you better watch yeah, you better watch out for
Cannibalistic, humanoid, dwellers

AAHH, AH,AH,AH,AHHH etc.

Cannibalistic, humanoid, underground dwellers
seven foot high, teeth like knives, their eyes glowing yeller
If they see you don't try to hide,
coz their senses will smell yer
So you better watch yeah, you better watch out for
Cannibalistic, humanoid, dwellers

AAHH, AH,AH,AH,AHHH etc.

Guitar solo

Cannibalistic, humanoid, underground dwellers
seven foot high, teeth like knives, their eyes glowing yeller
If they see you don't try to hide,
coz their senses will smell yer
So you better watch yeah, you better watch out for
Cannibalistic, humanoid, dwellers

I know the movie and guessed from the title that this song must be inspired by it! ???? Fun 80's horror comedy and you're really keeping that spirit in this song. Cool fun stuff! Right up my sewer!

I effing love this! I was in hysterics reading the lyrics and backstory, and I am afraid those continued (in a good way) when I played the track. The vocals are brilliant, and this has a wonderful "of the period" rock feel. But it's a fantastic track, I love the way it rocks but with those wonderful breaks that are the "aah ahh" parts. The solo at around 2:05 is absolutely awesome, and you have a wonderful punchy recording here. Great mix and a great production job.

We rewatched The Lost Boys recently and were in hysterics over that, must dig out CHUDs. And I'll definitely keep playing this track, it's a belter!

I can tell you guys had too much fun making this song. The part where your move to the Mid Eastern melodies (ah ah) and guitar scales is absolutely brilliant! I remember C.H.U.D. ...this should be part of the soundtrack to it. Nicely done Darren and Keith!

I read the lyrics before pressing play...and now I am laughing my head off... this is so off the charts cool...and rockin...
and that middle eatern style ahhhhhhing.....I bloody love that!!!!
I like the middle eastern vibe in music...I went to Dubai and I was always drawn to the calls for prayer that the muslims observed even in the malls etc....that sound sticks in my head...and i have used it a number of times in music..I need to post one of those...

this rocks Darren....I like it because somebody gotta keep it light in this heavy world...

I could hear an alt lyric kind of "dwelling in your servers."

Sounds like my kind of film. But even detached from the source material this is a superb, epic rocker. Kind of reminds me of Jim Steinman writing for 'Number of the Beast' era Iron Maiden. A superb metal guitar and vocal performance. Funny, clever, and catchy. Love the flavour of that Arabic scale. Fantastic!!!!

Mike_S

Oh yes, this is a top drawer piece of theatric metal and it's a genre that I am pretty fond of... I love King Diamond and this puts me in mind of them a little. Also little shades of BÖC again for that dark theatre. Brilliantly done and 1st class production.

Awesome track guys! It has a real glam flavour but also a real flair of uniqueness with that "Arabic" scale. Love the distortion on the vocals, Keith's vocal is madcap in all the right ways. Great guitar on the second half of the track, especially the solo in the middle. Rock on!
