First let me say Tim Greene is absolutely a fine songwriter and musician-one my favorite vocalists here as well. So, apologies for really taking artistic liberties with this beautiful tune.
That being said, the hook of this song the " L.O.V.E. -love" (the second hook actually), really conjured up a 60s style , latin jazzy feel to me that actually inspired to take such a vast departure from the original. I never attempted a rhythmic style like this before, i still feel it might be missing something, but at some point in the process you have to stop over thinking and just go with it.

A really nice interpretation. I quickly checked out the original - beautiful track Tim. You still very much have the spirit of the original here, but you gave it a new flavour. I really dig the treatment you gave the chorus - there is almost a George Benson thing going on now there, which is a truly cool thing to even come close to, but it is absolutely smooth as silk. Love what you did here.

I'm absolutely thrilled with this! Thrilled and honoured. It gives such a cool twist on the original, and I had no idea it would work so well with that breezy George Benson feel. It fits so well it sounds like it was written that way. I like how it balances familiarity with a completely different vibe. That 'L.O.V.E' part alone is amazing - had me grinning ear to ear. The musicianship, arrangement and performance are all outstanding. I'll always have this one on my live set list as it's a top 5 personal fave, but this makes it seem like a new, fresh song I'm listening to for the first time. So Thankyou! And the person I wrote this for loves it too :-)

I have a folder on a thumb drive that has every one of Tim's SC songs on it (except for a few of the latest).... I listen to it quite often drivng in the car...I doubt I have heard all 300 plus yet but this one I have heard at least 20 times...and it's a fabulous song...superb...but then again I say that on almost all of Tim's songs...
this is a GREAT COVER IMHO!
when i heard it I was thinking it's kind of like a male Sade but I think the George Benson comp is better...
fantastic job Ron...
I love all the small nuances...congratulation.s

Wow, two great listens for the price of one. Such a lovely and wonderfully performed original (which I must have missed back in the day) and then this superb cover. I love the different treatment here, what a great idea and it really works so well. I think the rhythmic style comes together beautifully, no issues for me on that front. The piano and organ are great, they really create the right feel for the vibe, and the way you weaved everything else around this superb.

It's a really innovative take on a wonderful original and I think it's superb. No wonder Tim liked it!

Well this is certainly one of my Greeny favourites and you've done great here Ron. Love how you've reimagined it.

What a great performance. Love the L-O-V-E part. Well done

We can't have too many versions of this one. Love the original, love the live version, love RMO's tribute and I love this one !! Just a fab song.
