Chunk gave me this track to work on and I had forgot.
His work always inspires me and from the minute I heard it ,it was always going to be about this.
Political? Yes
True unfortunately yes.

great collaboration, i like a song with a message to it. really good lyrics, catchy chorus, love the backing vocals. catchy upbeat music too. backing track seemed a little distant at times, but really good. It reminded me that i did a song about brexit couple of years ago lol.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

I would never in a hundred years presuppose to understand Europe's or the UK's politics...but I will tell you that we have more homeless and poor than ever in the US....and more rich than ever as well...I have no real idea why.... I know there are a certain number of folks who like the idea of living free, owing nothing, doing nthing...etc....It's quite shocking to me...the looks of California, Seattle etc...
I suppose it's nothing new really...
I try to be quiet about what I see because I think we are all being played...
so I try to do the best I can...to love and be loved...to care about others...help as many as I can....especially my own...
and in the meantime...I. like you takes solace in music...the great escape...
great tune...I have heard some of Chunk's stuff before ...it's good....how long did you sit on this?
I want to hear this a bunch

Great collaboration! The song idea is very different and keeps the lyrics (with real meaning) at the forefront. The backing vocals and the main hook are both understated and catchy.

I was expecting a punky angry rant when I read the lyrics, so the very subtle approach was a real surprise. It's really cleverly put together and  creates more impact than a shouty punky song. Kind of Shipbuilding vibe if you get what I mean. There's some great stuff going on in Chunk's backer and you lay the vocals superbly over the top. Excellent collab guys.

Hook

Brilliant guys, what spectacular lyrics/vocals. You really lifted this cool, understated, almost techno zone out track and made such a cleverly delivered statement. I dig it brother. & I do hope.chunk is well...been a while.
Rock on!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Bang on the money politically (for me at least), and very interesting & quirky stylistically. Lots of hooks - especially on the backing vox and the chorus refrain. Very fine music for bloody difficult times (as the self-harm of Brexit unfolds further by the day). Nice one.

BerryPatch

I love the contrast between the cutting social commentary and the somber yet weirdly urgent vibe of the instrumental. Kinda reminds me of Scary Monsters era Bowie, stuff like 'Scream Like A Baby', especially with those backing vocals. Great stuff....
