My daughter really likes this song and would walk around the house singing it with a crazy southern drawl...I know she's gonna hate my version. I got the uke/vocal track right at the beginning of the fest, in my car, and then it just languished. The drums are my cocktail kit with just the Br80 onboard mics. Steel Guitar is Thuumbjam.

DKTS but I love your low growly voice....killer
in fact...you should get a dang cowboy hat...some boots and move to Nashville and sing like that...

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

the deep voice reminds me a little of dear Tommy...and your first notes of uke always have the same effect on me...like "rain pearls from a country that doesn't exist *" that would flow nicely into my ears

* rain pearls from a country that doesn't exist citation d'une chanson de Jacques Brel(...des perles de pluie venues d'un pays qui n'existe pas... )
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Those vocals again! Such a great sound and feel :) The kind of vocals that make the listener believe every word that's being sung. The playing is vibey and everything sounds comfy and well placed. Second only to your daughters "crazy southern drawl" version... ;)

Some of those higher notes had an air of Brian Setzer to them. I got that vibe both from the sound / phrasing.

Damn, this is SO good. Your vocal is totally convincing, and the musical layers are sumptuous. It's one of those covers where you end up owning it completely. Fantastic!
