Ever since the "summer fest" was announced I was immediately thinking of trying this song.  It popped up on a "summer classics" playlist a few years ago and stuck with me.  I found it tricky, but was finally glad to be able to finish it before the end of the fest!  I used my own home-made software to mix/master this.

I'm glad you were able to finish it for the Summer Fest because it's the perfect song for it. You've done a wonderful cover with excellent vocals and the music to go with it! I can hear you've put in the time and details that really make the song shine. I used to play this song in a cover band and you are correct in saying it's a bit tricky but you seemed to have have handled it easily. Nice sound from the your home-made mix and mastering software. Well done desOfree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stellar recording, possibly your best one yet in terms of production. I really like the song (never heard before!) and I really enjoy your vocals on here.

very nice realization how did you do the voice? by dubbing the track and very slightly off or a second take?
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Oh, this was great. I'd be keen to hear about the homemade software of which you speak because the mix is very fine. Lovely instrumentation and a great vocal.

I think Seals & Crofts get lumped in with a lot of lesser bands, but they have some great stuff. Having said that, the ascending vocal line that peaks a little after the one minute mark in "Hummingbird" is still one of the funniest testicle-clutching musical moments I've stumbled upon. If you folks aren't hip to it, it's worth a quick search. They redeem themselves with a nice acoustic solo over a vocal outro.

Really great post.
