You might be painter, a plumber or a priest
Or you might work in the kitchen cooking up a feast
You might be a craftsman working with your hands
Or you might be a farmer working on the land

As you wake up yawning we all feel the same
Here without warning -- - Monday morning here again.

You might drive an 18–wheeler or sit behind a desk
You might work in a junkyard guarding all the wrecks
You might be selling flowers or pumping gasoline
Or work in a factory --- slave to an old machine.

As you wake up yawning we all feel the same
Here without warning -- - Monday morning here again.

Don't you hate to see the sunrise, don't you hate it so
Got to leave your safe warm lover's bed and off to work you go

As you wake up yawning we all feel the same
Here without warning -- - Monday morning here again.

Great piano, guitar, and vocal work Ray. I can relate to the Monday Morning bearing down on my back. I may be retired but I remember that feeling well....oh, you know I love your harmonica work. A good one!

I can relate to this..hate mondays.
I  love that infectious piano melody, the music is superb Ray. Blues guitar, those riffs are amazingly fast. Great beat, bass, harmonica and love the brass in there too.
Like the female backing vox too. Is that your wife?
Its another great song.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)

Some real tasty stuff going here. Funky keyboard(clavinet). Searing leads. I heard that junkyard dog. Nice.

Very cool track Ray. Kind of reminds me of a more bluesy Steely Dan song with the tricky piano part and the female backing vocals. The songwriting is on point and once again that guitar is deadly. Badass stuff

I am now retired but I do have to (get to?) drive my 16 year old son to school each morning...but he doesn't have to get there until 8:45 so it isn't so early to get up...hopefully by next year he'll have his license so I can sleep in if I want....
ha...great song...so relative to everyone...
and the music and singing is so good...as usual...thanks for sharing your greatness.
