I thought Rick Rubin was just an eccentric with good hunches, but I became a fan over the course of this interview (once it gets going anyway).

That is uncanny... I am halfway through watching this interview when I saw this on SC... interesting video too.

This is a documentary by Alan Lomax, and has a series of interviews with OG Delta bluesmen about the origins of the "Blues". I stumbled across it on PBS when I was about 18 years old and recorded it on VHS tape back then. I have watched this at least a dozen times over the last 30 years and even bought the accompanying book a while back.
