Update: New mix done with my home-made mixing/mastering software (and with new drum patterns)


I started watching a TV documentary called "Cruising the Cut" about a guy who cruises a narrowboat down canals in England, which I find very relaxing, and suddenly thought why not write a song about it?  This was done very quickly all on the Zoom R24.

This is a very easy song to like There's a happy uplifting mood to the whole track. The singing is vibey! The lyrics are filled with strong imaginery that fits the sound / mood of the song.
The choruses are really ear pleasing.

"Freedom comes and freedom goes - It's all about what you choose" is a great line! Something to live by.

love the idea... my last one also was inspired by the English...

this is very nice Doug,....really like your singing using the two registers...Steve Miller did that alot.. that little keyboard in the back there is similar to a nice happy diddy by Dire Straits...
I would be interested in hearing this mixed by your auto mix software...

A real nice, easy going track. Lovely pastoral vibe and some great harmonies. Endearing lyrics too, why can't we all just be like that guy?
