Hi all, here's a jingly jangly thing, hope you enjoy.

Crafter 12 String, Fender Electro Acoustic, Fender Precision Bass. PRS SE Custom.

LYRICS
The place was so right
The timing was wrong
I thought that she might
But I came on too strong

And for now I'm just lying in the sun
Burning my back again
Burning my back again

I knew I was wrong
And I'd like to say
Just give me a chance
I'd be different today

But for now I'm just lying in the sun
Burning my back again
Burning my back again

I'll lay in the sand
And the things that I'd planned
Are like bubbles that burst on the breeze

Instrumental

I might see her later
And get down on my knees
Beg for forgiveness
And another chance please

But for now I'm just lying in the sun
Burning my back again
Burning my back again

Burning my back again

Oh yeah, you brought the jangle alright, Willie. It sits so well with your vocals. Love the lead, too - is that a volume pedal? Sounds sweet.

So lush and melodic. And those volume / expression pedal swells are so sweet yet plaintive. That chorus is so fine. A lovely jangly bit of country.

I love the imagery:

"And for now I'm just lying in the sun
Burning my back again"

You know you're doing something stupid that you'll have to pay for later, but you still do it ... again. You're telling the story of my life.

Simple, yet complex both lyrically and musically. Great song.

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

A really nice song, love the sound of the guitars. Great lyrics and vocals, great harmonies, you get quite high there, reminds me of the great BeeGees. Love the lead guitar too.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)

I dig the opening lead with the volume swells...nice! Excellent vocals all around but the chorus really shines. The lyric are top notch Willie. As always, well done!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

BerryPatch

That's one MASSIVE jangle you got there. Really gives off an almost dreamlike quality to the song. Great country ballad, engaging lyricism, nice harmonies and effective use of the volume pedal. Like lying under the sun...
