TAKE IT AWAY

TAKE ME OUT OF HERE
SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY
TO A BETTER PLACE
SHOW ME THE WAY

TAKE AWAY THIS PAIN
ALL THIS HURT INSIDE
EVERYDAY THERE'S RAIN
NO SHELTER TO HIDE

I  LIVE IN MY OWN HELL
TORMENTED DAY BY DAY
LIFE IN AN EMPTY SHELL
I CAN'T GO ON THIS WAY

NO MORE LOVE TO SHARE
NOT A MOMENT MORE
I DON'T REALLY CARE
ALREADY BEEN HERE BEFORE

TAKE ME AWAY
TAKE AWAY THIS PAIN
NOTHING LEFT TO SAY
NOTHING LEFT TO GAIN

LIFE HAS PASSED ME BY
FEELING HOLLOWNESS
WISHING WELL GONE DRY
FILLED WITH EMPTINESS

DRY UP THE LONELY TEAR
AND ALL THE BITTERNESS
NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR
A HEART OF LONLINESS

TAKE IT ALL AWAY
AN OCEAN I CAN'T SAIL
I DON'T WANT TO STAY
WHEN ALL I DO IS FAIL

I feel privileged to be the first to comment on this incredible piece...I love the music thing going on around 1:18.....
There's so much in here..... 3 dogger night coolness all the way to the Uriah Heep crazy cool organ pschadelic...almost Bread finger pick at the start....
Lyrically spot on...I want desperately to describe what I hear but suffice it to say it's really big...and the incred backn vox

Lots to love about this. Are you being paid to promote DRC? Because it sounds fantastic, and I might end up buying it. I only use Garageband synth sounds, and I've never been able to get that kind of lush rock organ sound.

Is this what you mean? Polyphonic Synthesizer for Desktop and Mobile - DRC | Imaginando

Not to give all the love to your organ. The changes, the vocals, the guitars... All top notch classic rock tune.

Hehehe thanks Ted, .... no promotion, DrC is a real person. He is a Songcrafter Member. DrC is just his online handle. But he is an amazing musician that I feel very fortunate to work with from time to time. Check out his (Doctor C) SC personal jukebox. A lot of excellent instrumentals there. https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?action=Playall;u=7670

Fantastic production/arranging on this great song. The guitars, organ, drumming, vocals and lyrics are all first class. What is that instrument in the intro? Is it a duduk? Excellent work, Farrell.

Yeah, What a cracker song. This is so well recorded and produced, very professional sounding. I love the music throughout this, love the guitars, organs and vocals. And some really good lyrics from Linda.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

I downloaded the trial version of DRC, and I poked around it a bit looking for that great organ sound – and not finding it.

Thanks for the link. I don't think I've caught any of his stuff here before.

This is a peach of a song. Luscious intro sections and when that acoustic kicks in... wow! So many beautiful dynamics at play. Love those backing vocals and the key switch up on the outro too. Excellent work (again!).
