This song only comes from 2017, and it's not just my favourite country song - it's one of my favourites of any genre. It's a really pretty piece of songwriting. I like seeing Ashley McBryde just perform it on an acoustic guitar, but the recorded version is quite stripped back too.

Mine is somewhere in between - acoustic guitar (with live backing vox), telecaster through overdrive, trem and reverb pedals, and Les Paul with a glass slide.

Sadly I can't sing it like the great Ashley McBryde (or any proper country singer)  ::)

I kind of prefer just singing it live though:

I think I've heard the original because it sounds familiar (and occasionally I spin modern country playlists).  You've done a very pleasant rendition here.  I especially like how you play the acoustic guitar and weave accompanying electric guitar around it.

it's not that I hate country... I like it just fine and I suppose if I listened to alot of it I would love it...because that is how I am with music...

generally when I turn on a country station I end up changing it because too many of the songs are about the exact same things over and over...todays country has turned into a money machine...that is just my opinion...
but I generally get a good laugh or two from some of the songs...but the female artists I prefer almost always...

I don't know the song but it sounds great Tim...you sing very well...you have an excellent voice and your own style and you do alot of different things with your music so that makes you great in my book...

I know nothing of country music but this is a very nicely performed song. Lovely guitars, great use of effects and a really good vocal over the top. A really nice listen, well done Tim.

Gotta love some Ashley McBryde. She has a voice that Country Music needed
Great Job on this Tim you really captured a sincere stripped-down moment.
