I was gonna spread the last few songs of the album/fest out to not monopolize the board but I've been working, sleeping, working and time has gotten away from me. Bruno laid down a perfect solo to this "Hotel Lounge Act" version of maybe my favorite tune on the original album. Drums & organ are from garage band.

Hook sent this to me - and too my shame I didn't realise it was a cover, let alone by the Beatles. Am I bad!
Hook did all the heavy lifting on this, I provided a short guitar solo. I did consider my usual noodling - however, I'm glad that I stopped and kept it simple.

I did think that this is a great song, it really resonated with me, so thought quite hard the solo and figured a simple melody would be best. But took me a little time to get right as it's so exposed. I used the APE and the Wampler Tumnus through the Kemper for the sound.

I flipping love Hook's execution of this track, super cover and the vocal harmonies are magnificent imo. The lead vocal tells a story, and this performance really brings you on that journey.

Sounds like the late-night drunken reverie of someone propping up the hotel bar. Love the way it builds to a drunken rant / lament! Many lovely layers to enjoy. Including that masterful, toneful and expressive solo. Very cool work indeed.

I also had no idea this was the Beatles!!! :o Brilliant version, I love the arrangement (that organ is sooo lounge!) and your voice is brilliant on this Hook. The backing vocals are great as well, and the overall feel is superb. Great work, and a really tasteful solo from Bruno, love the tone there.

Nice work all round!

You are such a wonderful performer Hook and this showcases that perfectly. Well done for getting Mr B back to the forum too.

So good to see you back Mr B  :)
