Kenneth sent me this before i went on my sojourn south last week. So apologies to Kenneth for my tardiness. And please excuse my rhyming couplets  ;D

it is what it is.
After all is said and done
You know you don't need to say it all again
Is once never enough
Do you think I didn't hear you the first time

You can hear a baby's cry
Through the noise of bombs exploding
Through the thunder and the rain
Our brains are tuned to hear it

When you make the same mistakes
You really have to change your strategy
If It didn't work the first time
Why the hell should it work now

You can hear a baby's cry
It can pierce through armour
You can always hear it
It will wake you from the deepest sleep
Through the noise of bombs exploding
Through the thunder and the rain
Our brains are tuned to hear it
The sound of a baby's cry

I was wondering what "Honker" meant, so thanks for that.

I really like the lyrics on this one. Another fine, fine collab gents.

once again... I am a honking for Honker!!!!

I love the voices thing that Kenneth does in the background on many of his tracks...it's ethereal and spellbinding and beautiful...

Jim's voice fits so well to these tracks...cool stuff yet again with a really big theme here lyrically

Boys, boys, boys... this is immense. Kenneth's music always soars, but the lyric and vocal here is such a beautiful and perfect fit. I love the dynamics of those big U2 guitars on the chorus and the choppy acoustic of the verses. It's surely up there as one of Honker's best? That lyric James - superb.

I agree with Tim, the lyric is superb. I loved the core concept and the lines "You can hear a baby's cry, It can pierce through armour" in particular. It's a really strong vocal performance and it fits the music beautifully. Ken's backer is grand in its scope and sound, I love the dynamics and the keyboard and guitar sounds are to die for.

You two work very well together, and this is a fantastic example of your work. Loved it!

and now that I know what it means, can I congrat 'honker' for a really great and important song, and marvellous?
