What a View
Music: Ted (kabosy, acoustic bass, Garageband drums)
Lyrics and Vocals: Oldrottenhead
Recorded on Micro BR, mixed and mastered in Garageband
I'm gonna climb right to the top
And every now and then I'll stop
To catch my breath
Restore my strength
And the sun is shining down
Burning my head
I'm gonna climb right to the top
I won't give up I won't give in
And when I get up to the top
I'll wallow in the view
What a view
What a view
And then I'll make my way back down
It's just as hard as going up
Don't think my knees can take the strain
I stop to bathe them in the stream
And the water is so cool
And now I'm near my journey's end
And look back up to where I was
And can't believe it was so far up
I wallow in the view
What a view
What a view

Quote from: OldrottenheadIt's a short lyric about going up and down Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, last week.

I've been contributing to this site on and off for 13 years, and until now I've never sent a song to have it rottenheaded. What a strange feeling to send off a WAV file (as many have done before) with no idea of lyrics, melody, or even a theme. And now I can't hear this music any other way but with the words and music that came back to me from ORH.

These chords came to me while practicing the traditional 6/8 kabosy strumming pattern repeatedly (down-down-up down-down-up – which really messed with my American habit of down-up-down down-up down).

I'll play this for my kabosy teacher tomorrow.

Interesting strumming style I like it gave the song a different flavor and the vocals fit the song perfect

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

vocals where recorded on my micrbr with no effects, dry. tho i think ted added ambiene to the final mix, as i sent him a wav file of just my voice.

the stone is significant. i work in residential child care. a young boy i work with i asked "what will i bring you back from my holiday? sweets?" he said no. "bring me back a stone from the top of scaffell pike and i want photographic proof. Here is he proof.

Great collab guys, pics are cool too. Getting a Paul Simon  Graceland vibe, maybe the strumming  pattern.

I confess I'd never heard of Scafell Pike before. I looked it up on Wikipedia, and the photos on the page weren't very inspiring. Your photo does it justice.
