As Yet Untitled

We should write a love song together
Just you and I
A pretty little love song together
Just you and I
But I don't know how it will start
Let alone how it's gonna end
Our pretty little love song
Our pretty little love song

You'll play the piano you play it so
tenderly
We'll sing together
We'll sing so effortlessly
In our pretty little love song
Our pretty little love song

But what will we call it
Our pretty little love song
As yet untitled
Our pretty little love song

We could add some strings
We all know, there's always strings
We could slow the tempo so it may
never end
Our pretty little love song
Our pretty little love song

They say it takes 4 minutes to fall in love
Do you love me yet?
In our pretty little love song

Oh yeah, I love you now! Great song - listening drunk so option is very critical!  No, really, I really like this one Hilary!

Kinda think you should name it "Pretty Little Love Song"? Just a thought! ;D

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Really digging this! Not sure if it's intended, but I think the lyrics could actually be taken in quite a menacing way, depending on what angle you look at them, but it could also just be seen as a straight love song.

Personally I'd say drop the final line and finish on the "Do you love me yet?" for a slightly bolder ending.

If you want to build it up, actually bringing some strings in on the second verse "We could add some strings" would be a pretty amusing touch. Also I personally like the name as is!

Lovely playing on this one.

Quite a creative song and I love the spoken phrase at the end.

Thanks everyone.

Bishmanrock - I think i've it is stronger with the bit off the end - so I've changed it thanks. I struggled with the end as I had a couple of ideas - 1 being 2 minutes of silence and then the do you love me at the end (to make the song 4 minutes) but I thought that wouldn't be so much fun for the listener.

Definately not menacing no (for me) but a dark undertone yes, maybe of melancholy . . .

I deliberately kept under 4 mins, with no strings or harmony as it's not "their song" it's her song and the title is the title of the song.

They say never explain your song as it ruins the experience for the listener. I've just f*cked that then haven't I  :)

Maybe dark is what I meant, yes!

If you want to explore the idea of stretching it out to 4mins, you could play with the section after "We could slow the tempo" and repeat "Our pretty little love song" a few times with a slowing tempo curve. I'm not sure you'd get a full 2mins out of it, mind, but could use it to transition to something else if wanted. For my money I think the length feels quite natural, but you never know.

It's good! Right, could go either way, but it's about a love song, you know.. ???? :o

Nice song, Hilary and nice chords on that piano. It doesn't need any 'strings' or 'heavenly choirs' or any other gimmickry as it works well as it is - a nice simple plaintive song.

Hey this is cool stuff, love,in the vox and piano, we could sit all day discussing this and that but I love the immediacy with vocals to match, a great  listen!
