Been playing around with Orchestral Strings recently .. I create a short instrumental ..
Maybe this could become the intro to another sound that I've been working on .. it could become some sort of Orchestral Rock/Prog song .. :)

Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks .. Bonne soirée  :)

Wonderful ! The sequence is charming and mesmerizing, and somehow weird but in a good sense : i mean the sounds are cool but interestingly different from the classic orchestral sounds, kinda 'modified'. What sounds are you using ?

Love the playing, so soaring and melodic soloing with an excellent recording. Really like the backing instrumentation as well, sounds like something off a movie soundtrack.

Groundy

Excellent, i agree with Berrypatch could be from a movie Soundtrack.
Well done...

Thanks for the feedback .. :)
I agree, now I only have to create a movie that fits my soundtrack ..   :D

As for the sounds, I started on a Yamaha MX49 and Godin guitar record on BR800 and then I copied it to my Laptop (Cakewalk) and redid the strings part using SpitFire Audio Labs and BBC Orchestra.

Thanks again

Very nice indeed. Great atmosphere and the guitar playing is excellent, lovely sound and a really nice expressive touch. This could definitely do with further development.

Regarding mixing on headphones, I would suggest getting a decent set of reference headphones (AKG 702s are highly regarded, but just do a Google search and you will find many recommendations online, you can get a good pair for around £100). I do most of the initial mixing on headphones to get the stereo placement about right but then I switch to speakers to get a better representation of the "true" sound. That allows me to tweak eq and overall mix. I try out different mastering approaches on all formats (speakers, headphones, earbuds, bluetooth radio) to see what sound best on all formats.

If you do all your mixing on headphones, that Tonal Balance Control plugin is really useful for making sure that low end bass and high frequencies aren't getting out of control. But it does cost ££££ so may be over the top......

Nice! I wish I had the skills/tools to do orchestration like this. It would make a cool intro transition to a prog rock style. Well done!

Great sounding track. Listening in headphones this morning, was perfect start to the day.
