This is just me and my Taylor GS mini guitar recorded together with the Zoom H2n field recorder in "2 channel surround sound mode" (it records in 360 degrees with 5 built in mics and processes that down into two channel stereo; I sat on the side of the unit that has "mid-side" mic configuration which picked up most of the sound, but the x-y mics on the opposite side probably pick up a little including some reflected room sounds).

I imported the stereo track into Reaper and processed it with Waves plugins Q2 Eq, CLA vocals, API-2500 compressor, J37 Tape, L1+ ultramaximizer (limiter).

A lot of my playing out is a Acoustic set so I can really appreciate this nothing to hide behind with it is just guitar and vocal.  I love what you did with this song

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I think you did a great bit of work here. It sounds excellent in headphones. Guitar sounds pristine and well recorded too. Top job on the vocals too.

Very nice cover, certainly nowhere to hide on this (and you didn't need to.....). The Zoom has worked really well and it's a great way of capturing a live acoustic performance like this without having to set up loads of mics.

Excellent version, voice and guitar Doug, I love the sound of the guitar...this Zoom H2n seems really excellent with its 5 integrated microphones..and then Taylor is Taylor

Bravo Doug
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
