I was fooling with my Casio keyboard and found a "Ska" rhythm/accompaniment patch. It immediately reminded me of a Beatles song that I eventually realized is "Ob-la-di-Ob-la-da".  I first played the chords on the keyboard and the Casio accompaniment mode generates Bass, Drums, Piano, etc.  Then I started overdubbing as many little elements as I could figure out.  I ended up adding:

- 2 Electric Rhythm Guitar tracks (Fender Mustang, P90, panned L/R)
- 1 lead vocal (AT-2010 condenser mic)
- 7 background vocals/noises
- 1 piano intro (Casio)
- 1 saxophone track (Casio)
- 2 percussion tracks (claps, floor tom, maracas, Casio vibes)

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

You truly love the music and it shines through especially in the vocals.

This is such a joy to listen to.

And a really great mix/production.

Great version, very true to the spirit of the original with lots of nice touches. Sounds like you had a lot more fun doing this than the Beatles did  ;D

Very fun cover, really enjoyed listening. Your voice totally pulls off songs like these and I love the energy in the backing track.
