Ambient Sleep Track 01 June 2021

This track is intentionally mastered to a very low volume, so that if you listened on your stereo or ipod, it should create a swirly white noise pad and then have various things going on that may or may not enter your conscious mind.  The theory here is that if you can't get to sleep, there is enough going on here to distract your mind from thoughts of your day, but not so much going on as to keep you wakeful. It fades out after about 6 minutes.

If anyone else has been having trouble sleeping, let me know if this works, okay?

Featuring libraries from my newly purchased Native Instruments Komplete 13 bundle, that Indian sounding thing is a Santur.  Hooray for new synths and plugins.

Feedback like "it's too loud", "it's too soft", it's not restful for me, or that santur woke me up, or "it actually worked" welcomed.

Lovely track! While I didn't fall asleep yet, it could work. And it was very relaxing!
Enjoyed it!

really neat stuff here Warren... I love stuff like this...but I don't ever have problems sleeping ... if I put on headphones to listen to music I generally will not sleep...I am too into the sounds...
although I do like to sleep to a fan, my wife doesn't however so I mostly don't...
reminds me of something that could easily be used in movies...or tv shows...

Nice ambient sounds Warren. Can't tell you if it works though as I don't need anything to help me sleep these days since I retired. I used to use ambient music to help me relax on planes when I was travelling for work (I can't sleep on planes) and also when I was jet lagged and couldn't sleep. But now I'm retired I don't have those stresses any more  ;D

This is really relaxing, i sometimes find it hard to turn my mind off when trying to sleep. I'll have to try this if I can't sleep. I really like the sounds you've used. (I've often thought of getting the Komplete bundle of instruments. They sound great).
It would help to just relax, chill out to and unwind to aswell as hell to sleep I reckon. :)

I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

I don't really ever listen to music while falling asleep BUT...

This totally has me in the zone for thinking/reflecting. I totally zoned out to this, it has a trance like / hypnotic quality. I do love chill out music anyway so I knew this would work for me. I actually read your intro to this earlier today but didn't get to play the song till tonight. It got me thinking... what constitutes "a song" anyway. What is the separation between just a mood piece, a chill out piece and a more conventional song. And add to that jazz, prog rock and various other genres... but anyway this is great, really enjoyed that.

I futz around with soundscapes in this vein (albeit less successful musically). I find the tones and overall mood to be super soothing. Enjoyed this a lot.
