Here's the new one from Max and Greeny. I made a piano/strings backtrack and Tim, as always, did the magic ... this time literally (and adding some cool FXs). The song is based (mostly) on the Lydian C scale, that is to say the C scale with the F# instead of F. Here's to you ..... the magician!

The Magician

for my next trick
i will disappear
into thin air - right out of here
and nobody will know
how I pulled it off

smoke and mirrors
and sleight of hand
you see I no longer love this land
now every trick I ever planned escapes me

there's nothing up my sleeve
there's nothing on the radio
there's nowhere that i could land
that could be so cold
that could be so old
when the audience departs
when the people all go home
here we go again
the hollow little men
who always talk me down

for my next trick
i will make this wine
disappear in record time
for I'm the great Mysterio

for my next trick
i will disappear
into thin air - right out of here
and nobody will know
how I pulled it off

Love the melody, nice piano playing. Some amazing vocals too. Everything sounds just great.

What I love about songcrafters is the genre's you can enter when you collab with other people.
The challenges are very rewarding.
A great collab and a storyline of lyrics.

I swear Tim is some famous musician songwriter pop star that disappeared off the grid and this is how he gets his fix now....damn it man...don't now how you do it ( or did it...disappeared)...another great lyric and singing...no doubt inspired by Max's grand piano playing...which I loved the scale and the flow of it all...
another great tune gents...(I am standing and applauding!)

those little voices somewhere are freaking me out... I am looking for them...where are they coming from?

Don't think me odd but for some reason as soon as the song and vocals started I got this Queen/Freddy Mercury image, in my head, of them performing this song on stage. Maybe it was the cool piano, vocal melody or the words or all of it together but it did it for me. This song checks all the boxes...excellent Maxit and Tim!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

It's funny because I got a Beatles vibe... even though I can't recall anything they did like this.
Tim, you do it all. Amazing. The lyrics sound like a guy who puts too much importance ... on things that really aren't important in the big picture.
The piano is brilliant.
Great collab!
