No messing about. No original interpretations. Just a straight-up cover that clocks in at a mere 2:15.

Les Paul with P90's, Ibanez bass, vocals, and Garageband drums, piano and organ. All recorded and mixed on the MBR.

Had a lot of fun doing it. It was seeing my Uncle play (and sing) this at a Silver Jubilee gig in 1977 that inspired me to want to perform music / play guitar. Even though he's a bass player, lol. And a leftie like Macca. Finally felt confident enough to give it a go myself. I still hold out hope of jamming it with him one day.

Hook

Dude, excellent cover here. Always in my set list when I was doing bar gigs, super fun to play and the fun just eminates from this. Well done on all instruments, thick, full and fun.
Rock on!

This is such a fun song and I can hear the fun time you had doing this cover Tim! Like Hook, this song was on the list when I used to play the local club/bar circuit. I hope you get to jam with your uncle someday...well done Greeny!

and I liked the reading the story of inspiration....it's part of what i really like here is when the artist tells a bit more about it...thanks...

He was in Hamburg with his band Marshall-Hammond just after the Beatles came back home. I guess there was a taste for British beat combos there. He ended up supporting the Crazy World of Arthur Brown and should have 'made it'. Unfortunately when it came to recording their demo, they stupidly chose to cover 'Whiter Shade of Pale' which had only been out 6 months earlier. If they'd done something original (and good) they'd have probably been signed. He's still a f*cking awesome bass player.

great Beatle cover and it sounds like you were having fun recording this Rock on
