Painting With Water

(V1) Love works in strange ways
All sorts of ups and downs
Feelings become all inflamed
Then you find yourself on the outside

Heart break is one of the acts
A lonely side of the street
Don't let that hold you back
There's a path to something sweet

(V2) If you were a mindless machine
No one could crush your dreams
You've been human all along
You see the beauty in all things

(Chr) Love is coming...coming your way
Love is coming your way (Love is coming your way)

(Brdg) Love can be like painting with water
A pretty picture in your mind
That soon evaporates in time
But it's still waiting for you to find

(Chr) Love is coming...coming your way
Love is coming your way (Love is coming your way)

(solo with slide fills)

(Chr 2xs) Love is coming...coming your way
Love is coming your way (Love is coming your way)

Jeez, it's about 4:30 am here and I couldn't sleep so thought I'd have a listen to some new original songs on SC. Well, this one certainly woke me up, Farrell. Great rocker with stellar guitar work from both of you and brilliant vocal performance. Excellent collab; well done.

Thanks Ray! Up at 4:30 am eh? I know the feeling well. I was up at 4am this morning putting my final touches on this song. Early to bed, early to rise makes a musician healthy, wealthy (not in my case) and....tired, lol.

bloody hell Farrell!!!  This guy Lorne really knows how to step on the gas pedal with those frig in guitars....bloody hell.... some Sabbath tones in there too....this is the edge of hard rock that I dig...and your vocals fit perfect along with your lyrics... a stadium rocker...and I LOVE THE BIG RIDE CYMBAL AT THE END....

I want to thank you for loosening my bowels because that's what that opening salvo accomplished.  Jesus Palomino...

I love your arrangements and production. I always look forward to clicking on your tunes, and this was no exception. The half time section is a perfect respite from the onslaught of the energy of the rest of the tune. Didn't expect the slide. Wow.

at my place it's 5 o'clock in the morning, ...with the confinement we wake up (and go to bed) earlier and earlier

Beautiful collaboration, singing and guitar playing great, exciting, at 5 am it wakes up completely
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

This is bloody great, very "heavy", those guitars are excellent. Yeah it does sound like one of those 70's / 80's metal bands. Lorne is so good on guitars. Great vocals and lyrics from you Farrell. What a collaboration.  Darren.
