Here's a little semi-improvisation in a local folk form that is called 'stornello'. Down here in rome, but I could say in italy is kinda 'the blues form': the first part of the verse is the call (usually in G), and the last is the answer (usually in C). Great for storytelling, or humorous topics. Here is mine (in 'romanesco' dialect - and english translation below should you not be roman):

Tonino sognatore

Prendo na' camomilla pe dormì
Sperando che nun sia sempre sognà
E armeno un poco me voi lassà stà?

Ricordo quella giornata ar mare
Io sempre a legge, e tu sempre a ggiocare
gli sguardi come raggi de sole

E fino a quanno stavi pe' cadè
appoggiata senza farlo sembrare

E cor braccio teso, Mariiii ce l'hai rotte
Batti sta palla oppure famo notte?

E' Dario che te chiama quello sì
Che ha testa e corpo ner momento giusto
E viene er suo prima de tutto il resto

Mari Ma perché me cerchi ancora
Guarda so' sempre stupido come ero allora
Sto' sempre ar primo giorno de scola

Amore mio che sola

Tonino the dreamer

I take a chamomile tea to sleep
Hoping it's not always dreaming
And at least won't you leave me alone for a while

I remember that day at the beach
Me always reading and you always playing
Looks like sunbeams

And until you were about to fall
leaning without making it seem
On me that as usual: total clumsy

Those contacts you want to return
Your breast and lips, how it comes
That touch the shoulder almost without wanting to

Is it a sign, or is it like a dream?
A dream I'm never sure
If I got it right or wrong: I swear it

But I just remember that in that while
Of life, all good things
It was you: the sun, Flaubert, the eggnog

But then you got that ball back
And with your arm outstretched, Mary what the fuck
Wont you throw this ball before the night comes?

It is Dario calling you: yes
That he has head and body at the right time
And his own always comes first

Mary but why are you still looking for me
Look, I'm always as stupid as I was then
I'm always on the first day of school

My love ...

lovely singing and playing....I am not sure why but listening it reminds me of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull in their quieter passages....and they're awesome...so this is very nice..

what a pleasure to hear this beautiful Italian language
very nice song and nice guitar playing, I like that you let the strings squeak under your fingers, we feel like we are right next to you...Bravo Max
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Very natural and organic. Many feelings presented in this song - too bad I haven't a clue what it's about but the sincerity definitely come through!

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Feels like being there. Maybe one day I can hear it with a big glass of red on a warm Rome night. Your performance is perfect, Max. Intimate and real. You play that guitar so beautifully.

Wonderful. I would love to be sat in a Roman piazza with an aperitivo while this played in the background. Beautifully played and sung Max, a lovely taste of Italy in musical form.

Very nice and pleasant.  It sounds like I'm sitting in a room with you and you're singing to me a very relaxing tune  So nice to hear a person just singing and playing a simple song every now and then.
