A BR80 effort, one Gretsch elecromatic with drums an effects from the 80.

Hear the words but they don,t tell the story
See the signs in all it,s morning glory
Change is coming but that,s just a myth
March along to this incessant beat
Feel the mood music, be still your aching heart
Keep clam, but you,d tear it all apart
Tragedy spills out of your multi media
All the while held like a vice

I feel it
I want it
I see it
I got it

Edited in ways so that you,ll understand
Funded by who? Who really knows
Fed a stream of net driven diarrhoea
Intelligence insulted, apathy so easy
Send rockets up into the stars
Take lots of pictures of Earth from afar
Nothing out there would change what we are
Maybe best not to go too far.

hope your all well,  John

This feels so relatable.

We can't get oxygen to dying people in hospital in India fast enough to keep them alive but we can send a freakin helicopter to mars.

There's a simple reason why we can't help the people asphyxiating in hospital in India; Because we just don't care (enough).

Here we are and the world is on fire.   I think I Need a beer.  It's 10 AM here tho.

cool vibe on the music and vocals John. I can see this as a live version with the crowd totally into it.
Rock on.

Thought this was slightly better used the anti clip in audacity in the first  take, thought it took the edge off, maybe wrong.

Good call on taking the brakes off on the 2nd version. The first one felt a bit subdued. Now it's a rollicking rock-fest. Loving that chorus - a total belter. I was Wayne's World head-bopping on those post-chorus boogie parts. Great song & performance John!

Holy smokes John....this is you on a whole new level... the lyrics remind me of something Neil Young would have done when he was a bit younger...telling a sarcastic truth....
I liked this line especially...."Fed a stream of net driven diarrhoea"

I like either version...kind of like two different live performances....that little "chorus"... I feel it...I want it...love that part and especially your heavy accent there...

this is fantastic belting brilliance...

Nice one John, love the energy here, you really captured a powerful groove on with just the BR80 and your guitar. I love that little background melody that sounds like a synth but I assume is an effected guitar? It's really clever the way it drives the verses along. Loving the powerfil choruses and the great distorted guitar sounds. A really strong vocal performance on top makes this a great little rocker, really enjoyed it.
