Wow, you really got the funk Ray! I am loving the bass work on this and how it is sooo funky and in lock step with the drums. That is indeed a killer solo at about 1:20, and the whole backer really gets a great funky vibe going. Hilary's vocals really fit this superbly, and you mixed them really well, they sound great. Very clever lyrics as well.

It's an absolute belter, a fab funky collab!

Thanks for all the lovely comments.

In the interest of full disclosure I should say I had already written the lyrics, probably a couple of months ago, in the exact same format as the track from Ray, 3 lines + I know x 3. It was just left there waiting - I didn't even try to set it to music, it's weird isn't it!

I have a pile of lyrics/ideas just waiting for a song and this was one of them.

The quickest collab I have ever done was the animal one with Kenneth - 30/40 mins tops from getting the track from Kenneth, writing, recording, mixing, Kenneth listening to it and me posting it on Songcrafters. It's also got one of my favorite lines ever - My first love was a farmer, he played a guitar, we held hands but not when he played his guitar - it still makes me chuckle!
