Loving that bass and drums adds mystery to the track with that sprinkle of piano perfect for such a sad song excellent as always Ray another for the collection

Almost brings you to tears. As a father of 2 girls, I can understand how the grief could overcome a father.
Gorgeous song Ray.

So sad, really heartbreaking and terrifying too. I remember how I stumbled in that Mc Gregor book, childs in time I think, and how I felt. your song has got the same power ... I won't listen a second time, but it's very strong (and that voice in the coda)!

Yeah. This hits hard.  Great writing, and a great vocal.  I have two young kids, and two grown up ones on their own.

Being a parent means walking around with your heart outside your body, they say. This song really works, and it's beautiful.

I think it's important to be able to explore these stories, these difficult and painful sides of human experience.

Ray, this is absolutely beautiful...and impressive...what a way to set this beautiful song to music
I love the construction and the instrumental progression..the bass line and the vocal at the beginning are great (what do you play the bass with?)

It's a shame ..but I can't add anything... :(
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Moving, emotional, and brilliant, Ray. You have conveyed the fear and sadness in a palpable way, both lyrically and musically. The instrumentation and sparse arrangement is perfect. The change in the last line just hits like a hammer. Nice work.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Powerful and heart wrenching stuff. Lovely, soft arrangement and I love how the track keeps building till the final verse, releasing the pressure into a solemn note of grief. Not a cheery one but as you said, something that deserves to be written about and you have the sensitivity to pulloff something like this so well.
