This is written from a modern warriors perspective (or at least what I think it might be like).  I have seen alot of movies where the warriors say It's A Good Day To Die" just before going into battle.  Likely they say this because they know it is a high likelihood they could die.  So it is I suppose a statement of bravery and letting go of what they can't control.
I blended a few old sayings into new thinking military warriors...and you will hear the crass language from the go...
then there is the view of the modern military where women and men and transgenders fight side by side....  I am not making any statements of opinion here...it's just a song...
I will post the lyrics later and I am working on a few changes.... I kind of hope someone or a few of the guitarists will take this and make a solo and then post in the thread...

sounds a bit like too much of my other stuff but o well...
Schecter bass, HB PRS copy guitar x 1 rhythm track, alesis nitro drums, vocals via the zoom R24 mics ...everything recorded on BR1600 mixed on Bandlab and mastered on Landr....
Drop your cocks and grab your socks boyz, it's time to go to war
ladies at your side, foxes in the foxholes, we're thinking it might be suicide,
boys turn to men, girls turn to men, get your guns let's go.  Raindown fire, rain down thunder, big brother in the sky
It's a good day to die.... it's a good day to die, don't you dare ask why.
Rain down fire, rain down thunder, big brother in the sky,
if this boom boom shit don't work we'll release nuclear winter
I got a tranny just beside me, hope it's got my back,  last night we went out and we got a little bit slack!
It's a good day to die,.... it's a good day to die, don't ya dare, dare ask why
now we're, we're at war, fire across the sky, we saw smoke clouds blowing soutward, this ain't no time, no time to sleep now.
we're at war, we're at war, it's a good day to die.....  ooooh oooooh....big boom boom boom boom across the sky
ooooh oooooh....big boom boom boom boom across the sky
we're all gone, we're all gone.... if this boom boom shit don't work we'll release nuclear winter
where have all the flowers gone?

I'm digging the AC/DC vibe here. Well constructed tune.

I too get a great AC/DC vibe and I'm looking forward to reading the lyrics, Stephen. Excellent production skills and that guitar riff rocks the roof off.

Rawk!!! I'm thinking that phrase has become a bit overused in warrior movies but it is still a good line. And it makes for a good song. RAWK!!!

I'm also getting a strong AC/DC vibe. The guitar sounds are awesome, really punchy and rocky, and I particularly liked the drums on this one, great work. The vocals really suit the feel of the track, a heads down rocker!

This is a great slice of rock. Foot-tapping, head-banging goodness. Some damn fine guitar, and the drums are full of life and interest. Great stuff!

I love the title and before I listened I thought that would be a great name for a James Bond film :)
Bond films don't usually have a heavy rock song as the theme but I think they should, this would be great. Haha!
I love the song Stephen, that chord progression riff is dead catchy and it does have that AC/DC vibe that others suggested. And your vocals also seem made for that heavy rock genre too.
Love the lyrics and the theme of the song. :) darren
