Done to death and then some - I think ORH just about rescued it.

A cracking backer and Jim does a great job with the vocal

Fabtastic covers, gents - love the mix of electronics and guitars, and topped off with an excellent vocal.

Loved it!

Love the bass playing Mike and the thick synth sound during the verses. Great job on the vocal James.

Wonderful! This is huge fun, a great cover. Loving the backer with the synths and the brass, and a lovely bass line and bass sound (that is just about the right level, nice one Mike!!). Jim's vocal works really well, it fits the style of the backer. There's lots of nice touches in this, I liked the stops toward the end (eg at 3:32) with that cool synth sound when you come back in.

Tell us more Mike - I'm assuming you did all the music? If so, nice job!

All in Reaper. I think about 40 tracks.

I've used the Arturia Spark for the drum track, horns and strings are a mixture of soft synths and the Korg Triton, guitar is recorded with a Rode NT1-A off a Marshall 4x12 cab driven by a recently acquired Orange Stamp. Bass is DI into reaper.

Compressors, EQ, delays, reverb FX and a load of tweaking to fix the bum notes, shoddy timing, and then the application of the vocal ORH provided.

Hours of work. Lucky I have no life..

Thanks for the info. Lots of work but it paid off, a really well put together track. That guitar sounds nice, lovely Orange sound...... ;)

I have an Arturia SparkLE which I haven't used seriously yet. Must spend a bit more time getting to grips with it methinks.
