Masterful songwriting and arranging as always. I love your way with melody. Always interesting, never obvious. Just damn good stuff! Even by your usual high standards, this is a cracker.

Always a fan of your music John, and this is no exception - What a great tune! You hook it up so well being both a fine musician and lyricist, never gets old for me. So many ups and downs I love it!

The ending was a little anticipation for something after the drum fill, I was thinking after that "oh, the song's over...". And that's how you know it's really good!

What a great listen John. Loved it. Everything is spaced out and crystal clear in the mix. It's true, no obvious chord patterns, lovely original and highly listenable.

Self bump from 2021. Just to show that I can write some simpler stuff if I want to.  This has a really simple chord structure.  Maybe I should write more like this.

It maybe simple to you, but you're showing your bias on having both good taste and chops. Don't try to second guess your audience. Just do what comes natural.

BUT do you have any early JohnBee recordings? Ones where you'd be playing guitar? Rough sketches maybe? Not because of wanting to hear something simpler, but because of wanting to hear how it was in the "early days" :)
