Its been raining cats and dogs all day here so why not write a song about a drought ....Thanks for listening
The Water wheel stops under the clear blue sky
The sun burns the crops and there all doomed to die
The knowing know the truth and repeat no lies
Hushing to the silence of the wheel
Hushing to the silence of the wheel

The toil of the day began at dawn
The harvesters gathers whats left of the corn
The knowing know all is slane theres just the
Hush to the silence of the wheel
Theres Hush to the silence of the wheel

The sun glares down with no hope
Beating and burning and melting the day
No water runs there just the the silence
The silence  of the wheel
The silence of the wheel

Break

The believers on knees look up to the skies
Partitioning the lords with a prayer
While The knowing know the truth and repeat no lies
Their Hushing to the silence of the wheel
Just Hushing to the silence of the wheel
Just Hushing to the silence of the wheel

I really like the lyrics and the acoustic guitar work.  I'd bring up the bass just a bit.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

Such a great folk song with a relaxed style. Brilliant lyrics and I love your vocals, great voice :)

I love the song. I wish the bass had more compression and some reverb, as it's a lovely underpinning.  The acoustic guitar playing is great and is well recorded and the vocal performance is perfect.

I like this new direction you are going lately Trevor, it's very good.
Good tune.
