Hi all, it's raining and extremely windy so have retired to the studio (spare bedroom). Back to to the girl leaves boy, boy leaves girl nonsense
but I hope you enjoy. Willie

You hold me tight, you won't let go
You tell me those lies
And you think that I don't know

You hold me close, I can hardly breathe
And you tell me things
You think I wanna hear

But I saw the train
That brought him back again
It's just a question of time
'Cos you're not mine

Instrumental

But I saw the train
That brought him back again
It's just a question of time
'Cos you're not mine

I know you can't wait
I see you standing at the gate
Hoping he'll pass by
And you can catch his eye

I've got nothing to say
Hoping he'll just go away
But I know you'll be with him
This time

Musically very well constructed.  I like the vocals and the lyrics have a soft and sad quality that I like.

Guitars sound great.   I would actually love if at the fade out it went into a few minutes of guitar.

There's a much softer and tender feel to this one. Plaintive but beautifully melodic - especially that main guitar refrain. The synths are so warm and the lead guitar work is pure class. So lovely!

BerryPatch

Lovely sound you got. Great lyrics and vocals and I love that guitar melody. The short harmonized solo is a wonderful touch as well

been listening to the latest SC list while working out in the yard...and i have a very nice powered PA speaker that I use as my boom box...and plug the phone into it... I heard this song and of course i knew right away it was classic Willie..... but what struck me the most on that 15 inch driver was how the bass and drums reminded me of Fleetwood Mac...and when you can get that to build a song around you've really done something....
I gotta hear this some more so I can really listen....so many songs....sigh...so little time..

Lovely Willie, the combination of rhythm guitars, pads and mellow lead works really well on this one. It all fits the bittersweet lyrics beautifully and your vox sound superb as always.

Got my Willie fix for the morning and this one went right into the playlist I keep for listening to at work vocals were great as always but I love the guitar work on this one

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away
