Quote from: Greeny on March 08, 2021, 04:53:24 AMOooh... this is brilliant. Love the dark edge and swagger of it. The guitar sound and those dystopian chords carry a lot of menace whilst being totally hypnotic. And your vocal is superb. I mean absolutely incredible. I know what self-doubt is like, but I can assure you that this is a monster track. Perfectly performed and produced. I love it.

" but I can assure you that this is a monster track. "  I agree with Tim.... and the guitar starting at 1:06 and on to about 1:13....that is your classic sound Mike...I love it.

I agree with Tim, this is a monster track, well worth all the effort Mike. I loved the drum sound from the off, and that discordant two chord riff is really attention grabbing and unsettling (in a good way). The chord changes are really effective, love those descending runs, and the lead work throughout is great, it winds itself around the vocals and jumps to the front in all the right places. The vocals are really good and the lyrics fit the music like a glove.

It's also very well recorded, a great punchy sound with the instruments combining together really well. Really enjoyed this, I'm glad you slogged through it and produced this wonderful track.

A good job you stuck at it, it's a brilliant track. I especially love those jangly guitars and like others have said, the descending chord progressions. It guitar reminds me of Johnny marr or the cure, love the lead solo parts. Lyrics and vocals are great and the theme of the song I definitely agree with. :)
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

yes...Mike I am listening...and I dig it....
and the cool thing is if you go to the latest song list and play it down...when it gets to yours and then it goes to the Devils Toupee song after...those two songs have the same theme... and man a friggin alive are they both great...and could be a soundtrack for a conspiracy movies...... right now i think SC is brilliant stuff... that playlist makes one heck of radio station imo...

I'm getting a Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler vibe that's really cool.  Sounds to me like it was well worth the effort.

Frequently, by the time I finish a song I'm so tired of it I can't listen to it for a few days afterwards so I think I know where you're coming from. ;)
