'Dolce Vita' - Max & Greeny cover Ryan Paris (1984)

I really doubt this song made it across the Atlantic, but it was HUGE in Europe in 1984. It's the soundtrack to sunny holidays. Ryan Paris is Italian, so the translated lyrics he sang in English are a bit weird. It just made the song more charming. I've always loved it (guilty pleasure). So I roped Max into helping me cover it.

Max is on piano and acoustic guitar. I'm on vocals and various synths. It's the sound of 1984 Euro Pop.

There's a weird C# chord at the end of the verse that I couldn't get sounding right on guitar or keyboard. Max figured it out for me. Thanks Max!

I've never heard this song before but it's very infectious. I love this type of pop and the mixing and arrangements sound excellent. Great vocals Tim, I never would have thought the lyrics were in any other language, they work really well here.

I don't recall ever hearing this either, and back in that era i was into the new wave stuff. It has a very infectious pop personality and a cheery vibe that you guys have brought out nicely. Solid instrumentally and vocally, a nice cover. Was 1984 really 37 years ago?? OMG!! Tim you must just about live in your studio lately. Wish i had that much motivation...cheers guys!

OMG exactly lol! I discovered that not only gazebo too is italian, but that he climbed up the international charts same years with a song by the same composer of dolce vita .... crazy !!! Uh the song is I Like Chopin

Great fun, nice job here. You two work very well together and this is certainly a bit different. Very nice keys from Max and a great vocal over the top. The sound of summer!
