I think you answered your own question

BUT the MicroBR is small, size of a Nintendo DSLite, I bought the Silicone case for it, it suits my needs, the whole MP3 right out of the box etc.. I do mostly accoustic, classical guitar so no need for a lot of tracks etc.

Thanks to both jkevinwolfe  and Guitarron, you both helped me make up my mind.

It's true I feel very very comfortable with the Microbr, have the silicone and carry case and 1gb card for it. There is something unique and special about this little wonder box.

I also don't need to have more than 4 tracks at a time, and bounce the rest as needed. Since I do mainly accoustic, classical etc, I don't need the expanded rhythm machine etc.

If I need to edit more etc, I can always do that on a PC with audacity, and external drum programs.

So thanks to both of you.... now I just look forward to May 14th when I can no longer return the MicroBR...  ;D

jkevinwolfe

Only 7 days and counting.

Mr. Scar

I saw a dude using the 600 in the street the other day. I gotta say, it was a lot smaller and neater then it looks in pictures. And it's got velocity sensitive drum pads?!! :) BR600 could be the ultimate micro porta studio.

I want one, but I wouldn't trade one for the MicroBR....can't live without it's pocket size.

Olarte

I agree about not trading the form factor of the MicroBR, also not having MP3 support would be a major pain on the 600 only because of the size of the wave files and the time it takes to transfer or convert them when needed.

At least with the Micro BR you can choose Wave or Mp3. For me, Mp3 is probably what I  use 90% of the time.

6 more days to go before I can no logner return the MicroBR and counting...

And of course there is the extra $120.00 to shell out which is over 50% more added to the cost.

Not really, I guess my multiple personalities like to debate ;)

I did make up my mind to keep the Micro.

On another note though, has anyone heard if the BR600 also gets the Drive Busy or Card read error if you don't optimize individual songs often?

guitarron

I have not experienced any of the card errors-I've been using it pretty hard since i got it.
I haven't gotten as much on the Micro for that matter, since i got into the optimizing routine after a couple takes.

hey guys,

I bought the BR-600 and I've been learning it and exploring it for the last couple weeks in my off time. I really like it a lot.

Thanks for the comments.
