Cut Up Fest - Golden Outages

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

This is a very interesting track. I've heard about the cut up lyric stuff before ( think Bowie used to do it sometimes) I didn't know you could find those generators on the web.
Your voice is perfect for those spoken lyrics, really liked the music, and the choir vocal backing. Enjoyed :)
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.

Weird and wonderful, Warren. That sinister vocal track works so well with the Kerouac/Ginsberg lyrical content and the backing track is the perfect bed.

I was listening to this thinking that this is like beat poetry - some lost Kerouak or Burroughs and there it was in the comments.

Really great listen. I like this a great deal.

What it sounds like when the street corner lunatic goes home and talks himself to sleep.

Very interesting.

Well done.

Wow, you really found an interesting vibe for this sort of thing. Great work!

Now with knowing the background and concept of how the cut-up method is generated it makes for a bit of inspiration to try and find a source of "ideals" that still have relevance while remaining random. So, I wonder where that lost tab of acid is hiding, you know, just for a reference point.  ;)

I'm looking forward to more Cut Up Fest entries.    I think that using old discussion threads on SongCrafters would be a good place to mine for source text.

Spoken words works fine here and the backer sounds so good to me. It has cool oriental vibe, so exotic...

Well done Warren!
