Axis Bold As Love was a companion through university back in the'80s.

I was going to do one my slightly tongue in cheek ukulele covers but it went rocky.

Hopefully not too Spanish-Castle-Tragic. Ahem.

Enjoy

Fantastic cover and vocal Nick! It amazes me that you pulled it off with Ukuleles. No mistaking this is a Hendrix song but you made it all yours with this unique take and your Uke playing....well done!

I didn't know this song, so I listened to it.

...and I'm not far from preferring your version, very personal
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Great job man. Love the original, one of my favourite Hendrix songs, and you very well did it justice. The uke turned out really well on here. Groovy!

Rather unexpected and totally brilliant! I think you pulled this off really well Nick, the vocals sound great and I like the bass underpinning the ukes. Really cool choice of song and I really enjoyed the end result.

If someone suggested Hendrix on uke, you'd think... hmmmm.... doesn't sound promising. But it seems to really work on those choppy little chords and riffs on this one. In fact it's bloody great. And your vocal is superb. What a performance!

Inspired!

It works well on uke, Nick!

I could never pull off a decent cover of SCM, regardless of instrument, but it is amazing how many of those little guitar details you captured and translated to uke. And for a couple of moments, I could even hear Jimi's voice.

Well done.

Just glad someone has done this on Uke. It's such a brilliant original it deserves tributes in every form. This is a very cool version Nick. It does work strangely very well in that kind of folky way. Super stuff.
