"Love Lost" Power Ballad Challenge by TPB

A continuation of the Power Ballad Challenge.  This time Timothy Brennan (aka TPB) has lent his vocals, lyrics, and soulful guitar to my song "Power Ballad"

Can you put the lyrics in scroll lyrics (for me;)

I made an addition on the chord progression of MIke with Lap steel guitar and Melodica but I'm not sure if it's mixable with your version because you added a lead guitar track...and it might be too busy and not really adapted to your melody...but I can easily modify my tracks, it's easy in C tune.

Finally, to see what it could look like, I just overlayed the tracks of Mike, Tim and JP..it doesn't sound so bad and it's coherent the tracks are not mixed..there's an interesting mixing work to do with the separate tracks

Lovely job on this Tim I too get a simply red feel to this great vocal  excellent collab it always amazes me how the same backer can sound so different with each approach Bravo

Damn, that's soulful. Definitely a touch of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes / Simply Red's 'If You Don't Know me by Now'. Really loved the backer, but Tim has really delivered some emotion and soul. Fantastic collab and performances!

Irs Its amazing how songs take us to  different places but this song was always going to be about Love.

thats beautiful...dripping with soul...not a single thing overplayed...not a single note over sung....just perfection really......makes me think of Al Green a little......spectacular....it is so cool to hear the (so far) two different version of this track....it sounds like two totally different songs

I really like Tim's singing anyway...so this is really nice... for me this is a bit like a "Seals and Crofts" live feel.... as far as the vocals... I can see why some have said "Simply Red"..... 
interesting though I have heard 4 versions of this... the instrumental, the Kenny Mac one, The TPB one and the JP mash....they all come off like different songs really to me...
