Im lost in the shadow

Of what we called love

I tried to ignore it

But i felt the shove

I can only imagine

What i put you through and

now I realise

The mistake wasnt you

I gave you more love

Than you could handle

I gave you more love

Than you could handle

I know a part of me

Tried to hard to make you see

But now we should both be free

To move on to our destiny

Itried to ignore it

I just couldnt cope

I watched your eyes

Wipe away the hope

I just gave you

More love than you could handle

I gave you more

Love than you could handle

I gave my all

You watched me fall

Love hit a wall, and started to crawl

I gave you more love

Than you could handle.

Hi guys,

Mike Huntingford put out a challenge for a collab and I accepted.
I recorded this the day after he sent the file.
My process was ,download file to my phone ,sing along with it in my car ,do my shift in work, come home  ,write lyrics, go to sleep, get up,go straight to studio and do vocals.
It was all very quick.
The reason why it was quick was the great track
Mike Huntingford had created.
I was going to add guitars,I may at a later date, but the song seemed complete to me.
I didnt want to mess with that.
Hope you enjoy it.

Bloody hell, this is just great, guys. What a fantastic soulful ballad and the vocal is stunning. That chorus is so strong; I wish I could hit notes like that. Brilliant collab, fellers.

Wow, what a voice! I remember hearing this without vocals and wondering what you would do over such a great track. I just gotta say, you knocked er right out of the park! That chorus is very powerful. Great work

You may have given us more chorus then we could handle.
The music is simply classic and your vocals matched perfectly.

Wow... That chorus is chilling

Pretty good eh... Kenny's really belting it out!  And the lyrics are awesome.

I may, with Kenny's approval, do an instrumental version using his melody lines - just to see how an instrumental version would sound like.

Keep tuned.

This is really good Kenny, it's a great addition to Mike's lovely ballad. Your vocals over the chorus are beautifully performed and it's a killer chorus. Nice wailing at the end as well, a great touch.

I'd still love to hear a version with soaring guitars and a wall of harmonies over the chorus. G'wan, you know you want to...... ;)
