I'd still love to hear a version with soaring guitars and a wall of harmonies over the chorus. G'wan, you know you want to...... ;)
yes...yes....yes...more love...more to love...guitars need love too

Great work, Kenny. This version reminds me of Deacon Blue's old soulful classic 'When Will You Make my Telephone Ring', which I've loved for many years. You bring a really nice understated soulfulness to the brilliant backer. And that chorus - man, you always know how to deliver a big one! These great versions are quite a testament to how good the original backer is.

Wow!...I hadn't heard Kenny Mac's prodigious version...
what a song, what a voice! (although I love Tim's voice and intonation)

As Nigel says

me too I would see a lead guitar backing vocals ...and a female chorus with three singers as the chords are repetitive a bit like in Dylan's knock on the heaven door or in Neil Young's Helpless during the chorus...

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

A stunning ballad chaps.  Very professional in every way.

I wouldn't mind hearing a guitar solo on this.  I'd even have a go at it if you want.  But Kenny you are more than capable.
