Another for my 2021 RPM Album this ones about the False promise....Just the Gretsch and the 12 string sim and vocal...thanks for listening
Somebody said that everything would be ok
Somebody said that everything would be alright
Somebody said the sun shines through out the night
But they lied
But the lied

Somebody said there would be no more war
No child would go hungry
Somebody said love would rule the world
But they lied
But the lied

Somebody said money doesn't matter at all
Somebody said there would be no jealousy
Somebody said you would love me forever and everything would be ok
But they lied
But the lied

Well the intro really set this song up and then the outstanding vocals came
Great job

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

BerryPatch

Awesome vocals as usual, really like the lyrics on this one as well

Another incredible performance Trev. I'm constantly amazed how you get so much emotion and variation into a (relatively) simple guitar track. You hold the listener's attention and work seamlessly with the vocals. Which are superb as always.

Glad to hear you being prolific again. What's your RPM album? I should probably know but I'm afraid I have to ask.....

THanks for listening and the great compliments, the RPM challenge is what the title says they challenge you to record 10 songs an album or 35mins of music in the month of February. The music has to be new and not posted on the internet I always decide to write and record an album each year I think this is my 9th or 10th year of doing it. They are based in Canada you used to send them a cd as proof before the 28th of Feb, but now it's a lot easier to do as you just upload your finished album later in the year. there are listening parties around the world to listen to the music created https://www.rpmchallenge.com/  Why not give it a go. Heres a review we got Billy and I for an album we did in 2013 written and recorded in a week. http://thescope.ca/music/complete-me-by-billy-jack-the-two-regs?fbclid=IwAR0nRiWdkiR2zErK9_N1egN-PB-GSgHYWCpIJN-Qb2P9cIrhZzwJAprWRaU  I think I recorded 3 albums for that years challenge my own and with Billy and Wildgeas. Here's  a link to the album across the pond album give it a listen if you have time   https://alonetone.com/billyjack/playlists/across-the-pond-rpm

RPM Asked:

"Seeing as how you guys are on two opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, how did the whole writing and recording process go?"

Billy Jack answered:
"This collaboration was only with Trevor of the group The Two Regs. We discussed RPM in late January but never worked out details of how, when or if we'd work together. As I was getting my songs completed in week three, I emailed two songs and within 24 hours Trevor had them back across the pond. He already had his own RPM album just about done and said to keep sending the music. We followed the same method as we used in the past, I'd write the music and he added lyrics/vocals. I had my own song titles, sometimes Trevor would write lyrics based on the title or write something new and add his own. I wouldn't say the album was an accident but we never started out with a goal to do an entire collaboration album, it just happened. I'm still amazed at Trevor's ability to write and create melodies under normal circumstances but then turn out that many songs in a few days."

yeah... I am amazed too with Trevors ability to turn around so many melodies and lyrics so quick... like automation...

Great sound; bright but mellow, warm but so cool. Excellent vocal performance. Pulls me right in. So wonderfully dramatic.

Really laid back and a good vibe. Interesting concept the RPM challenge... I think it would be beyond me, but a great concept. Great tune Trevor.
