Very nice dedication to your friend, tpb. I also lost my best friend (going back to high school) about 20 years ago. Nice warm vocal, and the banjo and harmonica are well played and recorded and mixed very nicely.

A back porch special...LOVE IT! Your vox are smooth and the harmonies are sweet.
I liked the wide panning of instrumentation and the openness of the production. The ol' banjo chuggin' along imparts a rustic feel of yesteryear, an appropriate theme for the tune. Nice song Tim. Hope you thaw out soon. I'm sure all your seedlings are dead. 19 in Mississippi? Ridiculous...altho i went to bootcamp in January '69 in Gulfport Miss. and it seemed as cold as up north!

Wow, this is really outstanding.  I honestly think this song could be turned into a major hit by any one of many Nashville country stars.  The quality level of the songwriting and melody is that good.  But your recording and mix is perfect.  I especially like how your vocal sits just right in the mix.
