Old and in the Way... not there yet but closer every day  :)
Old and in the Way...title track from a 1973 album and a band by the same name.
Band members included Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Vassar Clements, and Peter Rowan, who wrote the tune.
One of my all time favs to play around the campfires...

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Fantastic sound on this track from the get go Pine , superb singing and guitar work as always, and  the banjo lead breaks thrown in for good measure to add a little bit of atmosphere in the mix , i really enjoyed the song and i like the campfire angle as well , dont think i will be sitting round a camp fire for a while but just the thought of it puts a smile on my face , great music and craftsmanship pine loved it

Hey JP..thanks for the L&C. I know you enjoy acoustic based music... and you have a killer arsenal of acoustic instruments to prove it!

Tim..thanks for checkin' it out. Where was your last "music gathering"? Mississippi?

Dunny...thanks for the kind words. Tried to play the melody on the banjo but had a hard time getting the tone i wanted. Recording songs with live mics is always a challenge for me with my limited gear. It imparts some flavor at least. Campfires are therapy for me. Sure would be fun to jam with ya around one...

Yeah brilliant Pine, you would do one hell of a campfire gig that's for sure. Great stuff.

really well done on the recording...with your "limited gear" you craft a real nice clear full sound to your recordings.....I love this to bits...that acoustic guitar is so good....drives the song along...

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

I don't see where you would ever be old and in the way bud! The vocal harmonies are amazing, I could rewind and play those all day, and the whole mix sounds so real!

Glad I caught this, definitely a fan of yours
