A Kite song that ended up with only me and James. Mike is on Zen bass (the art of bass without bass), and Geir and Jarle are with us in spirit too.

So it's very simple. Just me playing my Tanglewood acoustic into an SM58 mic, and James singing. Oh... I'm shaking my shaker and tapping a tambourine too.

James is busy working, so I'm posting.

And I've promised to do something more inclusive next.

My words don't mean nothing
They're just things I say
Interrupting the silence
Just so you can hear
I'm tired and I'm lazy
Stuck in my ways
I'm not one for changing
But someday I'll try
To......
Through cobwebs and dog hair
I'll muster my will
To find motivation
To do something good
I'm fried and I'm crazy
All over the shop
I've drank all my whiskey
So today's a dry
Day.........
I'll tidy my mess up
And cook us a meal
A feast for a thousand
A breakfast for two
But the cupboard is empty
The milk has turned sour
The eggs are all broken
The cockerel won't
Crow..........

I liked this right from the start. Peaceful and "lazy" mood, the lyric fits nicely to the acoustic backer. The tone of Tanglewood is so warm. Fine job by all of you!

I did point out that a true artist knows when not to add more.

This was fab just as it is.

I'm happy to stand and listen.

Just the acoustic brings out an interesting side of Jim's singing...  it all sounds good.

you can call me anything you like.  Just don't call me late for dinner

Simple but very effective. I couldn't help but get a Beatles-y vibe from the acoustic and Jim's intimate vocal works really well.

In this case, less really is more. Loved it.

When I heard Tim's tune, I started warbling immediately and tried to do my best Greeny impression. It all came together quite quickly despite my stubbornness regarding not wanting anything to rhyme. I used fornylon with tapped delay on vocals, this was supposed to be a rough take and I would record a clean vox the following day. Mike hates mixing my vox with effects. I love his zen bass.

Thats great sounding acoustic work, really recorded nicely.....miminalist lyrics sung with a sweet touch....touching song all around.....what does it all mean really....what a strange time to be alive for all of us.....at least we can make music....that acoustic is so good I don't want it to end...
