I dunno... it may not be the best engineered song... I would bet that even if Alan Parsons produced it some "experts" would argue over it....but it is a great song... and I remember you a while back sharing your desire to do something extraordinary... well, imo you have... so you may take a bow... and likely your next one won't be as good but Lord willing some of us will still be here to listen anyway!!!!!

No point in singing if your vocals aren't out in front...especially on a song like this where lyrics are everything.

Absolutely hilarious lyrics, but also the vocal delivery is very funny.  But seriously it is also a very good song, and well performed, in the "country storytelling style".  A great listen.

Oh yeah.
This is superb, utterly superb.

Don't turn the vocals down! They're absolutely spot on for the material and the story it's telling.
I started off wondering where the guitar was at, why did I have to listen "around" the guy singing... but listen to the hilarious lyrics and, for me, that's kinda the point (the guy's got a 58 burst and the louder you turn him up the quieter he strums it )
